A Digital Leader is a new role at Ashton, the team is made up of pupils in years 7, 8, 9 and 10.  Their role is to support the use and also to further the development of ICT within school.

The team was brought together after an application process involving a form followed up by an interview and will now meet regularly. Every member will be given training and support to develop specific areas of ICT expertise. Once each member has gained all the skills needed for the role they will then be able to do lots of new jobs such as:

Supporting teachers, updating the school's website, testing new resources such as the new Micro Bit, and looking at how we can include mobile technology in our lessons, leading some ICT clubs and creating how-to video help guides for new equipment.

Your new digital leaders within school are:

Year 7:

David Rushton, Grace Taylor, Luke Turner and Thomas Lee

Year 8:

Jack Eland and Kieran Emmett

Year 9:

Ellie Tinsley and Tristyan Roberts

Year 10:

Anthony Baldwin, Dane Evans and Adam Blackburn

All the new digital leaders have now met and are excited to be starting their training.  The role of digital leader will be a brilliant new addition to the school!
