This week a group of our year 10 students travelled down to the University of Oxford to experience life as a student. Year 10 had free time in the city, exploring shops and museums such as the Ashmolean Museum. They then had a tour of Queens College and got to meet a PHD law student. He led an interesting seminar about what 'theft' actually was, in which year 10 displayed excellent critical thinking skills!

We then got the chance to have a ghost tour in the evening; learning interesting facts about some o the city's gruesome past, along with being shown the Bodleian Library where parts of Harry Potter were filmed! Students then experienced university-life further by staying in the Queen's College halls, where they slept in their own individual bedrooms with en-suites!

On the next day, year 10 toured the Corpus Christi College; exploring their libraries and common rooms. They then made their way to Oxford University's Museum of Natural History where some of our (brave) students handled cockroaches!!

The group were fantastic, and we are proud of them all for getting involved in Oxford-university life. We hope to see some of you having adventures in Oxford again in the future as students!
