Last week our year 10 students did us PROUD by participating in work experience week. It was impressive to see the range of different sectors and businesses that our students were in. Year 10 worked in: garages, schools, factories, nurseries, bakeries, local shops, healthcare settings, warehouses, public services, museums and offices for law, architecture, media and signage. It was fantastic to see so many of our students this year going out and finding their own placements which made the experience even more enjoyable for them all.

Here are a few quotes from our students about what they enjoyed about their work experience and also what they think they did well during work experience:

'I enjoyed being able to work independently with research tasks' - Raygan P

'I think I was very creative when designing the layout and overall style of my dream house' - Macey C

'I enjoyed the chance to work with children and understand more about how they think and feel. I loved the opportunity to be able to work inside a nursery and be surrounded by lovely workers.' - Ella L

'I taught some of the students who were struggling and managed to help them figure it out' - Thomas S

'I excelled in organising the shop and collaborating effectively with my colleagues' - Moiz U

'I enjoyed getting out of my comfort zone' - Charlie S

A big well done to all of our year 10 students who gave it their all during work experience week and developed key employability skills such as: teamwork, time-management, communication and problem solving! We hope you enjoyed the experience!
