Statutory Notice - SEN Unit

Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Lancashire County Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to Ashton Community Science College, Aldwych Drive, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston PR2 1SL, from 1st September 2022.

Ashton Community Science College is a mixed community college for pupils aged between 11 and 18 years. The proposal is to create a special educational needs (SEN) unit for up to 16 children and young people with social communication and interaction needs in Ashton Community Science College with effect from 1st September 2022. These additional SEN unit places will be for pupils with education, health and care plans.

Within 4 weeks from the date of publication of this proposal, any person may object to or make comments on the proposal by sending them to Business Intelligence, Lancashire County Council, PO Box 100, County Hall, Preston PR1 0LD. Representations must be received by 9th July 2021.
