‘I started in the Air Cadets on the 4th September 2023.

I have wanted to be a pilot since I was 4 years old, now I feel like I am getting closer to my dream!

The air cadets have given me lots of opportunities, such as gliding, flying planes and completing my Duke of Edinburgh.

I think it is great to join the air cadets as the opportunities don’t end at wanting to be a pilot, there are lots of different paths you can go down, even being an engineer at BAE.

On Tuesday last week, I flew a plane over Ashton CSC. This was my second time flying a plane, on my third time I will be awarded a badge. Sadly, due to flying last I had to wait four hours for everyone else’s turn to pass, I finally flew at 3pm but the wait was well worth it!
