ERIC (Everyone Reading in Class)

A major challenge of literacy is academic reading. It is often much more complex than talk or fiction texts. Students are faced with numerous academic texts throughout the day. 

At least once every half term, each department will explore reading within their subject area. The articles cover a wide range of topics in order to enrich the students' learning experience in each of their academic subjects, and to enhance their cultural education when learning about issues in the world. They also allow students to explore future careers. 

Teachers use the article to actively engage the students in reading strategies which best suits their discipline.
